1757 en Angleterre. Le jeune orphelin John Mohune arrive à Moonfleet, petit port isolé, pour retrouver un ami de sa mère, Jeremy Fox, flibustier notoire. Jeremy Fox l’envoie au collège mais John s’échappe et retourne au château de Mohune qui appartint à sa famille et qu’occupe aujourd’hui Fox. John apprend par lord Ashwood l’existence d’un diamant magnifique que son grand-père lui a laissé en héritage. Avec Fox, il se met à la recherche du joyau
The year is 1757. A young orphan, John Mohune, arrives in the remote port of Moonfleet, England, to find Jeremy Fox, a friend of his mother, but also a notorious smuggler. Jeremy Fox sends him away to school, but John escapes and returns to Mohune Castle, the castle that belonged to his family and which is currently occupied by Fox. Lord Ashwood tells John about a magnificent diamond, left to him by his grandfather. Fox and he begin the search for the jewel.
